Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and Chinese President Xi Jinping held bilateral talks on Friday at the People’s Great Hall in Beijing and discussed bilateral, regional and global issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Xi and Yunus also discussed ways to further strengthen relations between the two countries and take them to new heights, protecting Dhaka and Beijing\u2019s mutual and strategic interests, reports UNB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They discussed various strategic bilateral issues between Bangladesh and China, trade and investment growth, agriculture, infrastructure, support for renewable energy sectors, the Rohingya crisis, and overall issues of mutual interest, eyeing a new chapter in relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the meeting, Yunus sought China’s greater role in establishing peace, prosperity and stability for both nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He expressed his heartfelt greetings to Xi Jinping on behalf of Bangladesh and its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recalling his long relationship with China, the chief adviser said he had an attachment with China in introducing Grameen Bank and social business there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
