Finance Affairs Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed said on Sunday that the government has taken the necessary steps to engage with US authorities regarding the new tariffs imposed by Washington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to journalists at the Secretariat, the adviser said: \u201cThe impact of the new US tariffs on the economy will not be difficult to manage. The government is hopeful that a positive outcome will emerge from the discussions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Salehuddin also noted that commodity prices remained stable during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr, providing some relief to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis year, people had a good Eid. In March alone, the country received $3 billion in remittances, which helped boost foreign exchange reserves,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
