{"id":5546,"date":"2025-10-18T08:20:43","date_gmt":"2025-10-18T08:20:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thedhakajournal.com\/?p=5546"},"modified":"2025-10-18T08:20:47","modified_gmt":"2025-10-18T08:20:47","slug":"two-killed-as-bus-hits-bike-on-chattogram-coxs-bazar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedhakajournal.com\/?p=5546","title":{"rendered":"Two killed as bus hits bike on Chattogram\u2013Cox\u2019s Bazar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by an unidentified bus on the Chattogram\u2013Cox&#8217;s Bazar Highway in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram early today.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The accident occurred around 2:00am in front of the Suzuki showroom in Puraton BOC area of Lohagara, said police and locals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The victims were identified as Md Sohel, 25, and Md Abu Bokkor Siddique, 14, Sub-Inspector (SI) Ruhul Amin of the Dohazari Highway Police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quoting eyewitnesses, he said, &#8220;Locals rushed to the spot after hearing a sudden loud noise and saw a motorcycle lying on the ground. Going a little further, they saw two bodies lying motionless and covered in blood on the road. A Chattogram-bound AC bus quickly fled the scene at that moment.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family sources confirmed that the deceased Sohel was a businessman in Chattogram&#8217;s Kaptai Rastar Matha area, while the younger victim, Abu Bokkor Siddique, was his employee. They were reportedly travelling to Sohel&#8217;s in-laws&#8217; house in Chakaria upazila of Cox&#8217;s Bazar after finishing the day&#8217;s business, said SI Ruhul Amin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Upon receiving the news, we promptly went to the scene, recovered the scattered bodies, and brought them into police custody,&#8221; he said, adding, &#8220;After completing the inquest report and upon the request of the victims&#8217; families, the bodies were handed over to the respective families.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the damaged motorcycle was taken into police custody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by an unidentified bus on the Chattogram\u2013Cox&#8217;s Bazar Highway in Lohagara upazila of Chattogram early today.
