DBL Ceramics has earned international recognition after its innovative sustainability campaign \u201cTileChalk\u201d received Merit Awards in two major categories at The One Show 2026 \u2014 the \u201cGreen Pencil\u201d and \u201cSustainable Development Goals (SDG) Pencil\u201d categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this achievement, DBL Ceramics became the first ceramics brand from Bangladesh to receive such recognition on a prestigious global creative platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before gaining international acclaim at The One Show, the \u201cTileChalk\u201d campaign had already won recognition at renowned global events including Spikes Asia, ADFEST and AdForum PHNX Tribute 2026.
“TileChalk\u201d is a sustainability-driven initiative that transforms ceramic sludge \u2014 a waste byproduct generated during tile manufacturing \u2014 into classroom chalk. The project addresses two major challenges simultaneously: reducing environmentally harmful industrial waste while supporting underprivileged educational institutions with essential learning materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the campaign\u2019s most notable aspects is that the \u201cTileChalk\u201d formula has been made open source, allowing other manufacturers to adopt the method and contribute to environmentally responsible production practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking about the achievement, Mohammad Bayezid Bashar, Chief Business Officer of DBL Ceramics, said the company was delighted to receive the recognition.
\u201cWe initially started this initiative to solve an internal problem and never imagined it would reach such a global stage. Awards are certainly inspiring, but our greatest achievement is ensuring zero dumping at our factories and placing educational materials in the hands of underprivileged children. We are proud to represent Bangladesh on this platform,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
