Dhaka, April 18 \u2014 Prime Minister\u2019s Adviser Mahdi Amin has announced that the government is \u0989\u09a6\u09cd\u09af\u09cb\u0997\u09c0 to introduce a \u201cExpatriate Card\u201d for Bangladeshi workers living abroad. Through this card, expatriates are expected to receive a range of \u09b8\u09c1\u09ac\u09bf\u09a7\u09be and services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He made the remarks on Saturday (April 18) during a press conference held at the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, marking two months of the government\u2019s tenure.Mahdi Amin also stated that the government is taking initiatives to explore alternative labor markets by signing bilateral agreements with seven European countries. Efforts are currently underway to send workers to Serbia, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Portugal, Brazil, and Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that, as part of expanding employment opportunities both at home and abroad, the government is focusing on increasing manpower export. Emphasis is being placed on exporting skilled and semi-skilled workers, aiming to improve both the quantity and quality of migration. To achieve this, technical training centers across the country are being strengthened, with greater focus on multilingual education and skill development.According to him, a total of 37,567 families have already received \u201cFamily Cards,\u201d each providing a monthly cash assistance of Tk 2,500. Similarly, more than 22,000 marginal, small, and medium farmers in 10 districts have been given \u201cFarmer Cards,\u201d which include access to 10 types of benefits along with financial support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
