The Ministry of Public Administration issued three separate notifications today, confirming that the appointments will be for one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Mohammad Zakaria has been appointed director general of the NGO Affairs Bureau. Safiz Uddin Ahmed has been named waqf administrator, while Abdullah Al Baki will serve as chairman of the Land Appeal Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointments were made under Section 49 of the Public Service Act, 2018. Under the provision, the officials must give up any other profession, business, or involvement with government or private entities before assuming office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a separate order, the government appointed Shaila Sharmin Zaman as director general of the Department of Women\u2019s Affairs. She was previously serving as an additional secretary attached to the Economic Relations Division.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
