Questions have been raised over the appointment of the Vice Principal at the historic Titkata Darut Sunnat Alim Madrasa in Patuakhali, with several teachers, members of the managing committee, and local residents alleging irregularities in the recruitment process and demanding a fair and impartial investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to available information, the then Principal of the madrasa, Mawlana Mohiuddin, passed away in 2023. Following his death, the then Vice Principal, Mawlana Md. Abul Kalam Azad, was appointed as Acting Principal and was later officially appointed as Principal in 2024, leaving the post of Vice Principal vacant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complainants allege that instead of publishing a recruitment notice for the vacant post, the appointment process was carried out by treating it as a newly created position. Through this process, Md. Mohibullah was appointed as the current Vice Principal. They have questioned whether the recruitment was conducted in accordance with the relevant rules and regulations and have called for the matter to be thoroughly investigated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complainants have also raised allegations against the current Vice Principal regarding irregularities in development projects, the management of religious gatherings (Mahfil), and financial transactions at the madrasa. They claim that written complaints on these issues have been submitted to the Chairman of the Madrasa Governing Body on several occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complainants have urged the Madrasa Managing Committee, the district education authorities, and the relevant investigating agencies to conduct a neutral and transparent inquiry into the allegations and take appropriate action if any irregularities are found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They further stated that determining the authenticity of the allegations and the legality of the appointment process is the responsibility of the competent authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
