Dhaka, Bangladesh; August 7, 2026:
With the motto \u201cHeritage \u2013 Unity \u2013 Cooperation \u2013 Development,\u201d the volunteer social organization \u2018Jirail Society\u2019 has officially made its debut, aiming to promote unity, mutual cooperation, social responsibility and overall development among the people of Jirail village in Barishal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization made its formal debut at an event held at a local hotel in the capital Dhaka on Friday evening, August 7, 2026. On the same occasion, the organization announced its first organizational structure, known as the First Convening Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the organizers, Jirail Society has been established with the goal of bringing the people of Jirail together and creating a platform based on unity, mutual support, social responsibility and community development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People from different professions and social backgrounds of Jirail village attended the event and shared their views and expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speakers at the event described Jirail Society as a non-political, non-profit, non-communal, voluntary and welfare-oriented social organization. They said the organization aims to serve as a strong platform connecting Jirail residents living both in Bangladesh and around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Building on the village\u2019s heritage, social harmony and tradition of mutual cooperation, the organization will work in areas including education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, environmental protection, social awareness and the overall development of Jirail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organizers further said Jirail Society would work to strengthen communication and cooperation among Jirail residents, stand beside disadvantaged and vulnerable people, and encourage the younger generation to remain connected with the history, heritage and roots of their ancestral village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First Convening Committee Announced<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The First Convening Committee of Jirail Society was announced at the inaugural event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the unanimous consent of the Jirail residents present at the program, Md. Mizanur Rahman (Konok) was elected Convener, while Md. Afzal Hossain Shikdar was elected Member Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 21-member convening committee includes Md. Jasim Uddin Sikdar, A.B.M. Zahidul Kabir (Shahin Howladar), Shahjalal Sardar, Arifur Rahman (Rony Sikdar), Shamim Khan, Md. Ilias Hossain Talukdar (Lokman), and S.M. Mashiur Rahman (Mithu) as Joint Conveners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Habibur Rahman Talukdar, Hasan Sikdar (Firoz), and Helal Howladar have been elected Joint Member Secretaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee members are Md. Akbar Hossain Sikdar, Shamim Howladar, Sohel Howladar, Sabuj Talukdar, Jewel Khan, Shakil Howladar, Shahzada Sikdar, Md. Nizam Uddin Talukdar, and Md. Bellal Sikdar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initial advisory panel of Jirail Society comprises Habibur Rahman Howladar, Abdul Haque Talukdar, Abul Bashar (Alef Talukdar), and Md. Shamsuddin Sikdar (Labu).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announced structure of the committee consists of one Convener, seven Joint Conveners, one Member Secretary, three Joint Member Secretaries, and nine Members, with four initial advisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Focus on Building a Permanent Organizational Structure<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking at the event, newly elected Convener Md. Mizanur Rahman (Konok) said the newly formed convening committee would oversee the organization\u2019s next phase of activities, including membership enrollment, drafting and approval of its constitution, establishing a permanent organizational structure and preparing future action plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will complete the necessary organizational groundwork very soon and form a full-fledged executive committee,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Md. Afzal Hossain Shikdar, one of the founders of Jirail Society and its Member Secretary, said the organization aims to strengthen mutual goodwill, unity, fraternity, cooperation and social harmony among the people of Jirail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe believe this organization will play a leading role in bringing all Jirail residents living at home and abroad together under a well-organized, effective and sustainable platform, while increasing communication, engagement and cooperation among them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Collective Initiative for Jirail and Its People<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the founders and Joint Convener Md. Jasim Uddin Sikdar said the organization wants to work collectively for the development of Jirail and its people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want to bring positive change to society through collective initiatives. We will work for the development of disadvantaged sections of the community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that Jirail Society would serve as a strong platform to stand against social irregularities and encourage people to take initiatives for positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the event, S.M. Mashiur Rahman (Mithu), one of the founders and a Joint Convener of the newly formed committee, presented the organization\u2019s proposal, vision, mission, motto, core values, goals and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said all activities of Jirail Society would be carried out with the aim of implementing its core motto: \u201cHeritage \u2013 Unity \u2013 Cooperation \u2013 Development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organization\u2019s mission is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo achieve the overall and sustainable development of Jirail and its people through village unity, education, social welfare and harmony, cultural development, environmental protection, volunteerism, and technology-driven and integrated development initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its vision is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo establish Jirail as one of the model villages of Bangladesh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stronger Community Platform<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joint Member Secretary Habibur Rahman Talukdar said the organization would work together to build a strong community platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will build a strong community platform together, Insha\u2019Allah. We will stand beside all good initiatives and work for the development of society,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another founder and Joint Member Secretary Hasan Sikdar (Firoz) said the organization would move forward with the motto \u201cHeritage \u2013 Unity \u2013 Cooperation \u2013 Development.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAlongside working for Jirail, the organization will also play a positive role in a broader sphere of humanitarian and social welfare,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another founder and Joint Convener Arifur Rahman (Rony Sikdar) called upon all Jirail residents to work together to establish Jirail Society as a strong and effective community organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want to establish connections among ourselves and, at the same time, work for Jirail and its people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joint Convener Shahjalal Sardar expressed his commitment to supporting positive initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are committed to good work. I believe Jirail Society will grow into a strong social organization and work for humanity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of the newly formed convening committee, including Shamim Howladar, Jewel Khan and Md. Bellal Sikdar, also spoke at the event. The speakers expressed their determination to build an effective and sustainable organization through collective efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Vision for a Better Jirail<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the conclusion of the event, prayers were offered for the welfare of all Jirail residents and for the success and prosperity of Jirail Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The organizers thanked everyone who attended the formal launch and sought the cooperation and support of people from all walks of life in Jirail for the organization\u2019s future activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
