A press conference and protest rally were held in Rayer Bazar, Dhaka, on Monday evening, demanding the unconditional release of Masum Khan Rajesh, president of BNP’s Ward No. 34 unit in Mohammadpur, following his arrest.

At the rally, speakers demanded Rajesh’s immediate and unconditional release, claiming that all charges brought against him were false. They urged the relevant authorities to release him without delay.

The event was attended by Haji Yusuf, joint convener of Dhaka North City BNP; Nazrul Islam Babul, joint convener of Dhaka North Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal; Abdul Kuddus Makhon, a member of Mohammadpur Thana BNP; Mofizul Islam Roni, general secretary of the West Rayer Bazar House and Flat Owners Welfare Association; and Ashik Haldar, publicity secretary of BNP’s Ward No. 34 unit.

The speakers also called on party leaders, activists and supporters to unite and raise their voices in support of Rajesh’s release.

The rally concluded with renewed calls for his immediate and unconditional release.
