Mr. Md. Mostahidur Rahman, Assistant General Manager in charge of the Administration and Human Resources Department of Rupali Bank, is involved in intimidation and various misdeeds. He is applying immoral pressure to various branch managers for loan disbursement including transfer trading.
In the newly fascist-free Bangladesh, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal’s nephew, Md. Mostahidur Rahman, has been rewarded with a promotion. He was not only happy with the promotion, he was posted to the sensitive Administration and Human Resources Department of the bank. This is nothing but a joke with the blood of martyrs. It is now everyone’s surprise how this friend, blessed by the fascist government, was promoted to the Administration and Human Resources Department!
It is known that the bank’s Deputy Managing Director Parsuma Alam played a major role in Mustahidur’s promotion and posting. This Parsa Alam is known in Bank Para as a family member of former MP Shamim Osman, an accused in the seven murder case in Narayanganj, and is a friend of former Dhaka University Chhatra League leader Fascist, whose father is the late Jane Alam, who was very close to the late Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal’s nephew Md. Mostahidur Rahman has been a name of fear among executives, officers and employees since joining the Administration and Human Resources Department. Mr. Mostahid considers himself very knowledgeable, many officials and executives in the bank are annoyed by his talk about many hadams. Mostahidur Rahman sends borrowers to different branches and forces the branch manager to give loans. If they do not want to give loans, he threatens to transfer many people including the branch manager to other places. The latest victim of his revenge is Mr. Ashikur Rahman, the branch manager of the Badamtoli branch of Dhaka division. In the busiest branch of Old Dhaka, a Principal Officer has been posted as a manager as per his demand, whereas there are many senior Principal Officers/Assistant General Managers in the bank who are eligible to be branch managers. He is so powerful that if he does not like any executive/officer from any batch other than his batch, he recommends the management to transfer them by saying various things in their name. Most recently, he transferred a senior officer of Ramna branch from Dhaka to Baherchar Patuakhali Mutual (even though there was no application for mutual transfer). It is known that the said officer of Ramna branch is worried after the transfer order as he is studying BIBMA MBA. Moreover, there are many other transfers which he is doing in exchange for money, said an officer on condition of anonymity. All the employees, officers and executives are in fear of an influential executive like him. In the last important vigilance department of the bank, he has appointed 4 officers from a district (Alamgir in Brahmanbaria – AGM, Mofiz, Nila and Alam) to harass people he dislikes.
Moreover, Mr. Mostahid harasses the female officers of the bank in various ways through gestures. Harassing women is his old habit. It is said that he was forced to marry a Hindu girl due to an immoral relationship while studying in Jahangir Nagar. Due to which he is also separated from his family. From the beginning, he is a person who is involved in a disgraceful, rude, anti-social and illegal work.
How is it that Md. Mostahidur Rahman, the nephew of the fascist Awami League Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal, who is the mastermind behind all these corrupt student massacres, is being appointed to an important position like the bank’s administration and human resources department and refusing to participate in the student uprising??? Can’t the bank management deny responsibility for this?
However, even during the fascism, he was working in the administration and human resources department and, through illegal interference, served as the manager of the Indira Road branch of Farmgate, the heart of Dhaka.
