Former Jubo Dal leader Md. Arfatur Rahman Apel has expressed his interest in contesting the election in Bogra-6 constituency, calling it the 'Zia family's seat', if no one from the Zia family participates there.


He expressed this wish in a post on his personal Facebook ID on Tuesday (September 23) evening.

In a Facebook post, Md. Arfatur Rahman Apel wrote, "Bogra-6 constituency is the seat of the Zia family. If anyone wants to contest the election in this constituency, excluding the Zia family, then I want to participate in the election as the former general secretary of the Bogra district Jatiotabadi Jubodal, former member of the central Jatiotabadi Jubodal and co-organizing secretary of the district BNP."

He further mentioned, there are 32 cases against me. I have endured a lot of oppression during the fascist Awami League regime. Even then, I tried to maintain the party's image in the Zia family seat. So this time I want to participate in the election from this seat myself.

Md. Arfatur Rahman Apel sought the cooperation of party leaders and workers and the common people in his post.
