Metro rail operations were suspended today for 15 minutes after a piece of cloth fell on the rail track’s electric wire at a location between Uttara North and Uttara South stations.

The operations were halted around 12:22pm, according to a Facebook post of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited.

Services resumed at 12:37pm after the cloth was removed from the OCS [Overhead Catenary System — the overhead electric wire], the post added.

Authorities expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers.
