Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today said it is monitoring reports circulating in the media and on social media involving Satkhira-4 lawmaker and party member, Gazi Nazrul Islam.The party will gather further information and verify the facts surrounding the incident before taking necessary organisational measures in accordance with its rules,” Assistant Secretary General and Central Publicity and Media Department Secretary Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair said in a statement.He said statements from Gazi Nazrul Islam, his first and second wives, as well as a video statement from the father of his second wife, had already been made public.A video involving the Satkhira-4 (Shyamnagar) lawmaker has been circulating on social media since last night, drawing widespread attention.

The video appears to show the lawmaker with a woman in a room. In a statement issued today, he identified the woman as his second wife, Mariam Begum, and said the allegations surrounding the video were false.
