The fourth book by renowned author and Islamic researcher Syed Ahmad Bakht Matin, titled Wazifaye Yadullah, was officially unveiled in a solemn and festive ceremony held at the historic Khandura Darbar Sharif on the occasion of its traditional Zikir-e-Imam Hussain (A.S.) Mahfil.
The unveiling ceremony took place after Maghrib prayers on Tuesday, August 4, at the shrine premises of Syed Hamid Bakht Duman (R.A.). The book was formally unveiled by M.A. Hannan, Member of Parliament for Brahmanbaria-1 (Nasirnagar), who attended the event as the chief guest.
The ceremony was presided over by Syed Masud Bakht (Qaed) of Haziratul Qudsia, Khandura Darbar Sharif. Distinguished guests included Basir Uddin Tuhin, General Secretary of Nasirnagar Upazila BNP; Syed Fayyaz Hasan Babu, Chairman of Ashtagram Sadar Union Parishad and former Convener of Upazila BNP; Abdel Mannan, Director of Bishwo Lalon Sangha, author of several books, and Sufi researcher; Syed Sohel Abdal; Syed Sajjad Morshed Shuvo; former Chapartala Union Chairman Parvez Bhuiyan; BNP leader Nur-e-Alam; Jubo Dal leader Md. Jamal; along with prominent local dignitaries and political leaders.
In his speech, Chief Guest M.A. Hannan, MP, highly praised author Syed Ahmad Bakht Matin for his valuable literary and Islamic contributions. He wished the author good health and a long life and encouraged the audience to practice the spiritual guidance and recommended supplications presented in the book in their daily lives. He also requested prayers from those present as he prepares to travel to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah with his family to perform Umrah.
Syed Ahmad Bakht Matin’s previously published books—Mohakaler Ayna, Pakpanjtan, Chishtiyar Kisti, and Khanaye Dawra Hote Khandura—have received widespread appreciation from readers. Invited guests expressed optimism that the newly published Wazifaye Yadullah would also serve as a valuable source of spiritual inspiration for Sufi devotees and general readers alike.
The second phase of the program featured the all-night Zikir-e-Imam Hussain (A.S.) Mahfil, where Professor Dr. Ehsanul Hadi of the Department of Persian Language and Literature at the University of Dhaka, along with distinguished Islamic scholars from across the country, was scheduled to deliver speeches. Pirs and spiritual leaders from Khandura Haveli and various other Darbar Sharifs were also expected to attend. The event was scheduled to conclude after Fajr prayers with a final congregational supplication (Akheri Munajat).
