The community-based voluntary social organization ‘Zerail Society’ has officially commenced its journey with the motto “Tradition – Unity – Cooperation – Development.” The organization made its formal debut on Friday evening, August 7, 2026, at a local hotel in Dhaka. On the occasion, the organization’s first organizational structure, the First Convening Committee, was also announced.
According to the organizers, Zerail Society has been established with the aim of promoting unity, mutual cooperation, social responsibility and overall development among the people of Zerail village in Bakerganj upazila of Barishal. People from different professions and walks of life with roots in Zerail participated in the inaugural program and shared their views and expectations regarding the organization.
Speakers at the program said that Zerail Society is a non-political, non-profit, non-sectarian, voluntary and welfare-oriented social organization. The organization aims to serve as a strong platform for building meaningful connections and strengthening mutual cooperation among Zerail residents living across Bangladesh and around the world.
They said the organization will seek to contribute to education, healthcare, humanitarian assistance, environmental protection, social awareness and the overall development of the community, while upholding Zerail’s heritage, social harmony and spirit of cooperation.
The speakers further said that Zerail Society will work to strengthen communication and mutual support among the people of Zerail, stand beside disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the community, and encourage the younger generation to learn about and remain connected with the history, heritage and roots of their ancestral village.
