Farida Begum, the beloved mother of Rupayan Group Chairman Liaquat Ali Khan Mukul, has passed away. nna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.She was 74.
She suddenly fell ill at her residence around midnight on Sunday (September 6) due to age-related complications. She was subsequently taken to Continental Hospital in Gulshan (formerly United Medical College Hospital), where the attending physician declared her dead.
Farida Begum is survived by her four sons, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and numerous well-wishers.
Her funeral prayer will be held after Zuhr prayers today, Sunday, at Gulshan Azad Mosque. She will later be laid to rest at Banani Cemetery.
Her death has cast a shadow of grief over the various establishments of Rupayan Group. Different business groups and social organizations have expressed deep condolences over her passing. Many well-wishers rushed to the hospital upon hearing the news.
