A debate competition was held on Wednesday, organized by the Preparatory Debate Club, with the aim of developing students’ logical reasoning, presentation skills, and ability to express their opinions on contemporary issues.
Dinesh Chandra Saha, Vice Principal (Boys’ Branch) of Preparatory School and College, attended the event as the chief guest. Khaled Mosharraf, Vice Principal (Girls’ Branch), was present as a special guest. The event was chaired by Madal Deb, President of the Preparatory Debate Club.
The topic of the debate was: “This House believes that private ownership of artworks considered culturally or historically significant should be prohibited.”
The enthusiastic participation of the students and their well-reasoned arguments made the event lively and engaging.
The Rebel Crows emerged as the champion, while Harvest secured the runner-up position.
The organizers said that similar initiatives would continue in the future to promote debate practice and develop leadership qualities among students.
