Khelafat Majlis Hosts ‘Diplomatic Evening-2026’ to Honor Foreign Diplomats

Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis organized a dinner titled ‘A Diplomatic Evening-2026’ at the Grand Ballroom of Sheraton Dhaka in the capital, in honor of diplomatic representatives from various countries stationed in Bangladesh.

Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Chargés d’Affaires, and diplomatic representatives from different nations, along with central leaders of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and Members of Parliament, attended the event held on Monday (October 5).

Diplomatic representatives from Germany, Iran, Singapore, Iraq, Maldives, the European Union, and the United States, as well as Russia, Japan, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Norway, Argentina, and Brunei, were present at the event.

During the program, the organization presented its history, vision, mission, future priorities, and its stance on social and international relations through a keynote presentation.

In his closing speech, Ameer of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Maulana Mamunul Huq, highlighted the party’s moral philosophy and its positions on minority and women’s rights, judicial independence, the economy, and foreign policy.

Regarding foreign policy, he stated that as a key country in South Asia, Bangladesh’s future is deeply linked to the region’s stability and prosperity. Therefore, relations with neighboring countries must be built on mutual respect, fair trade, and humanitarian dialogue.

He added that Khelafat Majlis believes in an independent and open foreign policy based on national interest, mutual respect, and balance, without taking sides with any specific power or bloc.

On minority and women’s rights, Maulana Mamunul Huq noted that the party’s charter guarantees the religious, cultural, and political rights of minority communities. Similarly, the party is committed to safeguarding the fair rights and dignity of women.

He further emphasized that an independent judiciary and a free press are essential prerequisites for a justice-based state system and an accountable government.

Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmad, Secretary General of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, delivered the welcome address, while International Qari Maulana Ahmad Bin Yousuf recited from the Holy Quran.

Members of the Advisory Board, central leaders, Members of Parliament, and officials of various levels of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis were also present at the event.
