A Milad and prayer gathering was held in Southern Matlab upazila of Chandpur district, seeking the quick recovery and good health of BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The event was organized by Southern Matlab Upazila and Municipal BNP. Dr. Jalal Uddin, BNP’s nominated candidate for Chandpur-2 constituency and a member of the party’s central executive committee, attended as the chief guest. Upazila BNP President and former mayor Enamul Haque Badol, the general secretary, along with leaders and activists of BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, and various affiliated bodies as well as local residents were also present.Speaking at the gathering held at the New Hostel Field, Dr. Jalal Uddin said, “We have arranged this prayer gathering for the recovery of our leader, Begum Khaleda Zia. I firmly believe that, by the mercy of Allah, she will recover soon and once again stand beside the people of this country. Today’s gathering reflects our love and respect for her.”

He further said that Begum Khaleda Zia is a symbol of struggle for the restoration of democracy in Bangladesh and a symbol of national unity. Her recovery, he added, is essential not only for the party but also for the greater interest of the nation.Dr. Jalal Uddin also stated, “With the prayers and love of the people, Tarique Rahman will return to the country with dignity and take part in the national election. InshaAllah, he will form the next government with the mandate of the people.”

The entire field was filled with a spiritually solemn and emotional atmosphere during the prayer gathering. In the concluding special munajat, prayers were offered for Begum Khaleda Zia’s recovery, long life and good health, as well as for peace, stability, and the restoration of democracy in the country.
