A Khatm-e-Quran and prayer gathering was held by the Northern Region Engineers Forum seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the soul of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The program took place on Tuesday after Maghrib prayers at the old building of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in Ramna, Dhaka. The event was presided over by Engineer Shafiqul Islam, President of the organization.

The program was conducted by Engineer Mannur Ahmed.Among those present were Engineer Md. Mohsin Ali, Engineer Shoaib Bashri Hablu, Engineer Alimul Bahar Ripon, Engineer Abdus Salam Khan, Engineer A.K.M. Jahirul Islam, Engineer Mujibur Rahman Kajol, Engineer Manjur Ali, Engineer Mahbubur Rahman, Engineer Mokbul Ahmed Mukul, Engineer Sajjad Hossain Milon, Engineer Amanul Islam, Engineer Bijju Barua, Engineer Fazlur Rahman, Engineer Aminul Islam Rimon, Engineer Abdus Sobhan Chowdhury, Engineer Monotosh Kumar Pal, Engineer Abu Sayeed, Engineer Ismail Hossain Bidyut, Engineer Liyakat, Engineer Rashedul Islam Shiplu, Engineer Abu Taleb, Engineer Hasan Al Bakar, Engineer Anwar Sadat, Engineer Alamgir, Engineer Atiqur Rahman, Engineer Jamil Uddin, and Engineer Rajib Hossain, among others.Special prayers were offered during the program seeking forgiveness for the departed soul and peace for the nation.
