An exciting edition of International Fight Night concluded on Saturday evening, April 18, at the Zulkar Indoor Arena in Bashundhara Sports City, Dhaka. The event was organized with the support of Tanveer Bashundhara Group (TBG), aiming to expand combat sports such as Muay Thai, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), and boxing in Bangladesh.
The arena was filled with enthusiastic spectators who gathered to witness thrilling as between
fighters from Bangladesh and abroad. The event was officially inaugurated by Ahmed Ibrahim Sobhan, Managing Director of Tanveer Bashundhara Group.Among the distinguished attendees were Safwan Sobhan, Chairman of Bashundhara Global, Vice Chairman Yasha Sobhan, and Emil Ahmed Sobhan, Vice Chairman of Tanveer Bashundhara Group.
Fighters from Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore competed across three disciplines in a total of 12 bouts featuring 24 participants. The fight card included several high-intensity matchups that captivated the audience.In the opening bout, Bangladesh’s Yahsan Hasin defeated Azizul Sarkar to claim the championship belt. Singapore’s Nick Chua secured victory against Bangladesh’s Azid Baby in bout 2, while Sean Rafael Sanny of Singapore defeated Abdul Hamid Noor in bout 3.
Bangladesh’s Iman Tanchangya, Hossain Ahmed, Isar Kabir, Gazzali Benzadid Zidan, Masadul Reza Omio, and Monjur Alam all delivered impressive performances, securing wins in their respective bouts. In the women’s boxing category, Sanjida Jannat of Bangladesh triumphed over Thailand’s Pornpimon Pongpeo.
The final bout saw Mohammad Rashed of Bangladesh defeat Thailand’s Singthong Sor Singyu to claim another championship belt.Organizers emphasized that this mega event is part of a broader initiative to inspire the younger generation to engage in sports. They believe such platforms will not only popularize combat sports in the country but also create opportunities for local fighters to compete on the international stage and develop world-class skills.
