A condolence meeting for Begum Khaleda Zia was held on Sunday, January 5, at 11:00 am at the TSC Conference Hall of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU). The event was organized jointly by ULAB (UTAB) of PSTU, Zia Parishad, Chhatra Dal, and Nationalist Employees of the university.The meeting was conducted by Dr. A. B. M. Saiful Islam, Organizing Secretary of UTAB, PSTU. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Mamun Or Rashid, Honorable President of UTAB, PSTU.

Professor Dr. S. M. Hemayet Jahan, Pro-Vice Chancellor of PSTU and Honorable General Secretary of UTAB, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Special guests included Professor Md. Jamal Hossain, Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Law and Land Administration; Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique, President of Zia Parishad; and Agriculturist Dr. Hachib Mohammad Tushar, General Secretary of Zia Parishad.The doa and munajat were conducted by the university’s Senior Pesh Imam, Hafez Maulana Md. Abdul Quddus.

Speakers at the condolence meeting sought prayers from the people of the country for Begum Khaleda Zia and urged nationwide cooperation in building a peaceful Bangladesh under the leadership of her worthy successor, Mr. Tarique Rahman.
