Despite persistent rain in the capital, the Super Sale Car Market at the Expo Village of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) witnessed a strong turnout of buyers and sellers during its sixth edition. Organised jointly by Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, the weekly Friday event has attracted growing interest from car enthusiasts, prompting organisers to extend its operating hours.

The market offers a convenient platform for buying and selling new, reconditioned and used vehicles under one roof. Building on the success of the previous five weeks, the sixth edition once again drew crowds of prospective buyers, sellers and visitors.

Although rain continued throughout the day, activity remained brisk inside ICCB’s Expo Village. Visitors inspected vehicles, negotiated prices with sellers and explored bank loan facilities to finance their purchases. Sellers from different parts of the country also brought their vehicles to the venue, while buyers and visitors turned out in significant numbers despite the adverse weather.

Besides cars, the market also provides opportunities to buy and sell motorcycles. Buyers can explore a range of options, while sellers can sell their used cars or motorcycles directly without the involvement of brokers.

According to the organisers, the initiative aims to reduce the time and effort buyers typically spend visiting multiple showrooms to find their preferred vehicles. By bringing different dealerships together in one location, the market allows visitors to explore new, used and reconditioned cars in a single visit. The experience, they say, is comparable to visiting nearly 50 showrooms at one place.

The organisers also highlighted the advantages of the air-conditioned Expo Village, where vehicle inspections and transactions can continue comfortably regardless of rain or sunshine. Alongside ensuring a convenient environment for buyers and sellers, the initiative seeks to facilitate direct, broker-free transactions.

Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager of ICCB, told Bangladesh Pratidin that the sixth edition of the Super Sale Car Market was part of an initiative that had been running for nearly one and a half months.

“Despite heavy rainfall throughout the day, the excellent environment inside ICCB’s Expo Village, with everything under one roof, ensured that the adverse weather outside had no negative impact on the car market. Despite the unfavourable weather, a large number of buyers, visitors and sellers participated spontaneously,” he said.

He added that the event’s operating hours had been extended by one hour due to the growing number of buyers and visitors in the evening.

The Super Sale Car Market is now officially open every Friday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
